Letter from the PrincipalDear Chester Educational Community,

The last days of the 20/21 school year were a true joy. The staff enjoyed every last minute with the students before sending them home for the summer on Wednesday. There were smiles and a few tears especially from our 8th graders as they walked through the Chester Academy halls for the last time during their traditional “Clap Out”.  The Grade 8 Promotion Ceremony at Stockbridge Theatre went extremely well. You can find a video of the memorable event on the PACT On Demand channel website. The event is titled Chester Academy 2021 Promotion Exercise Congratulations to the 8th grade class!

We’ve already started our summer projects including preparing for our summer programs at Chester Academy. Families can expect to receive their child’s iReady and NH SAS test sores in the mail over the summer. The front office will be staffed Monday through Thursday from 8:00 - 3:00 during the summer. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Annual registration will be ready in mid July. We will notify families when you can begin to complete this annual requirement.

As a reminder, the NH Department of Education’s 603 Bright Futures Survey will remain open until June 30, 2021. Survey responses will provide valuable feedback that can be used to influence educational plans being made for the fall. The link for families can be found here. The link for community members can be found here

Lastly, we will keep you updated over the summer with regard to the start of the 21/22 school year. We are hopeful that things will be back to normal in the building as more and more people become vaccinated.

Have a wonderful, relaxing, safe summer.

Karen Lacroix
